Although the Civil Defence Emergency Management Group (the Joint Committee) retains the responsibility for Civil Defence Emergency Management (CDEM) in the region, there are a number of authorities, functions and powers that need to be delegated.
The Taranaki CDEM Group have made appointments for Group Controllers, Group Recovery Managers, Group Welfare Managers, Local Controllers and Local Recovery Managers.
Group Controllers
In accordance with Sections 26(1), 26(3) and 27(1) of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act, the CDEM Group has appointed personnel to the positions of Group Controller and alternative Group Controllers.
